Biographie :
23 mai 1971 à Chapel Hill
Avant de s'intéresser à la TV, Laurel était plutôt théâtre. C'est ainsi qu'elle quitte très tôt sa Caroline du Nord pour Chicago où elle intègre le Piven Theatre Worshop. Elle s'installe à New York en 1994 et apparaît dans plusieurs pièces off-Broadway. Ce sera finalement Los Angeles et une participation remarquée à la 4ème saison d'Angel dans le rôle de Justine.Depuis le 4 novembre 2004, Laurel et son mari Paul Macherey sont les heureux parents d'une petite Lola Reiko. Fan de snowboard et de sculpture, Laurel multiplie les talents.
